The first ever Sitting Volleyball Championship tagged Legacy sitting Volleyball championship will be held in Lagos by Legacy sitting Volleyball in conjunction with the Lagos State Sports commission and Nigeria Sitting Volleyball Federation.


The championship, which is a sanction invitational tournament is the first of its kind for the development of sitting and Para Volley sport in Nigeria , will take place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Sports from the 16th-17th June 2022.


According to Peter Nelson, who is the Director of Para Sports, FMYSD, the initiative is a meaningful developmental process in popularizing sitting/Para Volley amongst other Para-Sports.


The tournament  also serves as  an opportunity to reunite and create interaction amongst stakeholders as well to unveil  the new Nigeria Para volley Federation Referee Association, the Nigeria Para Volley coaches Association and other tools that will keep the federation working.


The three invited team states association for the inaugural edition includes the top three states  at the just concluded National Para Sports that was recently held in Abuja this year, with Lagos State Sitting Volleyball team to make the total number to be Four (4) as the host state.


The aim of the organizer is to further promote the sports just like other sports and to also build a formidable team that would represent the State at both National and International Tournaments.


Invited teams would be camp at Teslim Balogun Stadium Hostel while Accommodation and feeding will be provided by the organizers .
