400m hurdle Champion Dalilah Muhammad has won the female Athlete of the year .
The 29-year-old won Gold at the 2019 World Championship and set a world record with 52:16s becoming the second woman after Britain Sally Gunnel to have Olympic Gold , the World title and setting a new record .
Interestingly, she is the second woman to win the prestigious Woman of the year award since Sally Gunnel in 1993 .
The 2016 Gold medalist was part of the 4 by 400m relay that won Gold at the World Championship in Doha .
“It’s been an amazing year,” says the US athlete. “It’s been a tough year but I’m so thankful. I never imagined ending the year like this.”
