10 athletes have tested positive for COVID-19 at the ongoing National Sports Festival taking place in Benin City, Edo state
According to the Incident Manager, COVID-19 Response, Edo state, Dr Andrew Obi, in an interview with Journalist, he explained that seven of the athletes had been moved to the Stella Obasanjo Isolation Centre.
“So far, we have 10 persons who tested positive; seven of them have been moved to the Stella Obasanjo Isolation Centre. They will be there taking their doses until they’re declared fit enough to get back to the public,” Dr Obi said
The remaining three were confirmed positive on Sunday Morning
