Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed five-time Olympian and former Africa number one female table tennis player, Bose Kaffo, as a member of the newly reconstituted board of the Lagos State Sports Commission.
According to the press release by the State Government, the newly reconstituted board is mandated is to give the Sports Commission a new face to meet up with the mandate of making Lagos State Sports hub not only in Nigeria but Africa in general.
At the Beijing Olympics, Bose Kaffo became the second Nigerian Sports woman to compete at the Olympics for a then record of five times after Sprinter Mary Onyali achieved the feat at Athens 2004.
The 47-year-old former coach , who has a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degrees in Sports Science would be representing Ikeja division in the new board.
Bose Kaffo was Nigeria’s flagbearer at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing .
