Tottenham sack Mauricio Pochettino as Mourinho leads to replace the Argentine


English Premier League side , Tottenham Hotspur has sacked their manager, Mauricio Pochetino.

The 47-year-old led the Club to the final of the prestigious Champions League last season , losing to fellow Premier League side , Liverpool .

According to the Chairman of North London Club , David Levy said , it was a hard decision to make

“It is not a decision the board has taken lightly, nor in haste. Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.

“It falls on the board to make the difficult decisions – this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff – but we do so in the club’s best interests.”

Pochetino , who has coached Spanish club side , Espanyol as well as English side Southampton was shown the exit door alongside his coaching crew ;  Jesus Perez, Pochetino’s assistant ,coaches Miguel d’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez .

With the sack of the Pochetino  , attention has been drawn to former Chelsea manager , Jose Mourinho , who is the first on the list and previously link to the job  .

Also in contention is another former Chelsea manger and ex-PSG coach, Carlos Ancelloti

Bournemouth and Leicester City’s coach Eddie Howe and Brenda Rogers are possible replacement for the 47-year-old .
