We never abandoned Late Saidi Raji , NTTF offsets all medical bills of the deceased – Ishaku Tikon , President of NTTF

The President of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation , Engineer Ishaku Tikon has reacted over the false claims made by the former National Table Tennis Player , Ganiyat Erinmolokun , against the federation as regards to the lack of support  after the demise of her husband , Saidi Raji .

 

Ishaku Tikon in a telephone conversation with our correspondent said the claims of the deceased’s wife is baseless and untrue .

 

“ Before Saidi Raji was admitted  in the hospital , our staff paid  regular visit to him at home and some monies  were given to Ganiyat  by the Secretary General as directed by the President of the Federation“.

 

The President further stated that the concern and care for the deceased started before he got admitted into the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital still he went on to glory on the seventh of February .

 

“ I visited Saidi Raji in the hospital , and also gave Ganiyat money personally , several entourage of the federation also visited at my request at home and even when he got admitted  .

 

Saidi has been good to us and we never abandoned him , even before he got admitted , I left Abuja mainly to go and see him “ .

 

On January , 30 , when i visited Saidi , he shed tears because he was joyful that I paid him a visit personally , so it is so surprising that the wife would claim that myself and the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation abandoned her husband”

 

In a letter by NTTF and sent to our correspondent, The President and some board members visited the deceased and contributed to offset the medical bills of Late Saidi Raji from October 2019 to January 2020 .

 

The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation hereby advise the general public and the Nigeria  table tennis community to disregard the false claims of Ganiyat Erinmolukun .
