The defending Champion of Aso Table Tennis Club National Championship and Nigeria International, Late Seun Ajetunmobi was remembered with a minute silence for his active role in development of the Sport in Nigeria.
He was remembered alongside four other stakeholders of the Aso Table Tennis Club before the commencement of the press conference of the 14th Edition of the annual competition that was held today in Abuja .
Ajetunmobi, representing Taraba won the last edition of the annual event in 2018 defeating Onaolapo Ojo of Ondo 4-3 in the Men’s Singles to become champion.
According to the official statement released by Nigeria Table Tennis Federation after his demise, the Southpaw player died at a Lagos based Hospital after suffering from a domestic accident.
Seun Ajetunmobi died few weeks after winning the 13th Edition Aso Table Tennis Club National Championship, he was a member of the Table Tennis Team of the 2015 African Games in Congo Brazzaville.
He died June 1 2018 , aged 33 according to report .
